Clips and Cartoons
It’s time there was a thread here for favorite cartoons and movie clips. I happened to be playing around on youtube the other day and watched some cartoons I haven’t seen in years. I also kept thinking about one of my favorite scenes from Gone With The Wind and thought I’d smush the two ideas together into one thread.

I was just thinking about this movie yesterday and wondering if it was time to let the kids watch it. After watching some clips myself to refresh my memory, I think I’ll give them another 5 years or so.

Ami, the movie that you want to share with your kids is Cujo? Do you mean Old Yeller, maybe? Or Schindler’s List?
Mary, that’s an interesting choice in Looney Tunes clips. I mean, I remember it, but I would definitely consider it obscure.
We’ve had cartoon-related posts in the past, including the older style top 10 lists of shows and characters, the Adult Swim-ish thread that for the most part only I contribute to, and of course the Simpsons thread, but a clips (cartoon or otherwise) thread might help keep the viral video bucket in particular from completely overflowing. (If I see applicable comments there I may move them over here for the sake of organization.) But if there’s a certain thread you think your video is better suited for then of course please post it there.
Yeah, I meant Cujo. I’ve been trying to slowly introduce them to some of what I consider the classic you-gotta-see this movies. I thought since Cujo was made so long ago it would come off as a little cheesy to them and not so much scary. After watching some clips, it still looks pretty scary to me. They did recently watch The Green Mile though (fast-forwarding through Del’s execution, of course) and I’m proud to say they loved it.

Psycho is one of the best thriller movies ever. I couldn’t find my favorite scene, the one just after Norman Bates sinks the car in the pond and then has a staredown with the camera. Gives me the creeps every time. However, this is my second favorite scene. I hope it doesn’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.
