Top Ten Video Games of All Time
Give me your top ten video games ever. Your favorites. I don’t care about what was the most innovative or which had the best graphics or any of that. You can specify that as a side note or something, but I wanna know your own personal these-were-the-most-fun-for-me video games. We’re talking any console, computer… shoot, even any arcade games. Mull this one over.

Easy -
10. Might & Magic II
9. The Summoning

6. X-Com: UFO Defense
5. Wing Commander: Privateer

Now if only I had my high school days back to replay all of these… :)
10. tetris (game boy, laugh, but its like crack)
9. Blades of steel (Nintendo, and lots of fighting, when it was still cool)
8. PGA tour golf (Sega 93, a shot of beer per shot on the course)

6. Myst (PC, one of my only journeys into this type of game play)
5. Sonic (Sega, wasted an entire semester of freshman year)
4. Omega Race (arcade, childhood fav # 1)
3. Tecmo Baseball (nintendo, the only game that i was truly invincible)
2. Street fighter (Sega)
1. NCAA football, all editions (PS2, the only game i still play frequently)
Okay, my research for this has uncovered some funny stuff. Anybody ever heard of these Atari 2600 games:
Bachelor Party / Gigolo (Here’s a Screenshot)
Bachelorette Party / Burning Desire (Here’s a Screenshot)
1. Red Dead Revolver
2. NBA Street
3. NFL Street
4. NCAA football
5. Lego Racers (PS1) believe it or not, it’s a blast
6. Duck Hunt (Atari)
7. Space Invaders (Now everyone gets nervous when they get close to you
8. Mortal Combat
9. ESPN Football
10. Wizard of Wor (Atari)
Darren, are yours really in order or are you just listing them? Is Red Dead Revolver really your fav? I remember you telling me about it a couple of times… I guess I’ll have to check it out.
Red Dead Revolver rocks. That is, if you don’t mind shooting people. I’ve already finished it once. But yes, that’s the order.
“….if you don’t mind shooting people.” Classic! :)
I will have to ponder this topic awhile.
In no particular order:
Everquest
World of Warcraft
Missle Command
Joust
Panzer General
Command and Conquer Red Alert
Burger Time
Kingsfield
Daggerfall
Mortal Kombat
Of course, if you ask me again in an hour I may have an entirely different list.
BurgerTime
Popeye
Rally-X
Simpsons Road Rage
Mario Kart
Baseball Stars
Gradius
Oregon Trail
The Legend of Zelda
Parsec
1) NCAA football they get better every year, but ‘99 has a special place in my heart from when i was the champion at college
2) nba live ‘96 was my fav of those
3) Mario Kart for nintendo 64
4) 007 Goldeneye for nintendo 64
5) Triple Play 2000 cincinnati reds dorm room champions
6) Tecmo Bowl the original
7) SImpsons road rage
8) Simcity ( I know i’m a dork)
9) Gunsmoke nintendo
10) that one atari game where you used the special paddle to blow up the 3 other guys “castle”, and kill their “king”. I can;t remember the name but it was a very pong like game with multiple players. Kyle maybe you remember it.
I also like legend of zelda but can;t imagine sitting around and playing it ever again,,, since it would take up way to much time. And my free time is very valuable.
I never liked the consoles, but my favorite PC games are some of the classics:
10. Tie Fighter
9. Red Storm Rising
8. Defender of the Crown
7. Castles II
6. Wizardry 6
5. Silent Service II
4. Bard’s Tale
3. Civilization
2. Pirates Gold!
1. Darklands
Kevin, do you mean Warlords?
I know I’m forgetting some, but here’s what I got. Mostly PC and Atari 5200:
10. Quest for Glory
9. Wolfenstein 3D
8. Montezuma’s Revenge
7. Halo
6. Star Wars X-wing Alliance
5. Strike Commander
4. Full Throttle
3. Wing commander: Privateer
2. Space Quest 3: Pirates of Pestulon
1. Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis
I hate having to commit to a list of ten, but I need to stop thinking about it and just do it. So here it goes:
1 – Halo / Halo 2
2 – The Legend of Zelda / Zelda 2 – Adventure of Link
3 – Super Mario Bros. / Super Mario Bros. 2
4 – Pitfall
5 – Adventure
6 – Mario Kart
7 – Castlevania
8 – Gauntlet
9 – Tomb Raider
10 – Wizard of Wor
Some other honorable mentions are Ms. Pac Man, Tetris, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and Simpson’s Road Rage.
Gotta love Wizard of Wor. Where else could Worrior battle Worluks in The Arena? And where shooting your friend in the back was rewarded with points and extra characters? But I could never figure out if it was supposed to be fantasy or science fiction?
Mostly shoot ‘em up and fighting games:
1. Mortal Kombat/ Mortal Kombat II
2. Super Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt
3. Grand Theft Auto III
4. Red Dead Revolver
5. Double Dragon/ Double Dragon II
6. Tecmo Bowl (Walter Payton could not be catched)
7. Pitfall
8. Duke Nudem 3D
9. Paperboy
10. Donkey Kong
just a few observations:
*NCAA Football is more enjoyable than Madden
*Mario Brothers is a classic
*Tetris and Zelda are both hightly Overrated
*Tecmo Superbowl is the best video game of all time (Mike Tyson’s punchout is a close 2nd)
*and Oregon Trail will never be forgotten; especially trying to hide from Mrs. Carr in the Jr. High library just so you could play instead of Read (reading happens to be just as overrated as Zelda and Tetris!)—
Man, we logged so many hours on Oregon trail… leaving stupid sayings on those gravestones… suffering snakebites…
Play it here

I esp. like the Joust, Pac Man, Rampage (although that’s just wrong), Blades of Steel, and the Adventure ones. (Although as someone pointed out, there’s a better updated Adventure.)
Here’s a dose of morning bizarre:

This doesn’t bump anything in my top ten, but it’s far too weird and addictive to not mention.
http://www.linerider.org
Kevin’s still pimpin that linerider… It’s somewhat interesting (you laptop users, I def suggest a mouse), but I don’t think it’s deserving of the kind of hours Kev seems to log on it…
i’ve never been on it longer than 15-20 minutes
although i am impressed by the videos on youtube
Super Mario Brothers – Well anything Mario
Zeldas
Madden Franchise
Final Fantasy Dynasty
GTA’s – I know it is bad but man it is like addictive
Elder Scrolls
Americas Army – and it is free
Star Craft – Which evolved from Total Annihilation
