Frequent Clicks

What are the websites that you check most often? (Not “what are your favorite sites,” but what are the ones that you hit most frequently.) Let’s stay away from the “adult” sites on this one, okay people?

You never know, someone may really end up liking one of your links. But then again, you may just get made fun of for how you spend your time. That’s always a possibility for some of you. You know who you are.

    Fark
    Drudge
    Dictionary.com
    IMDB
    The Bible Gateway
    Slashdot
    Engrish
    Adult Swim Toon Zone Forum

I also hit The Onion every Wednesday, but since it’s just once a week, that’s hardly one of my most frequent sites…

  2. Fark
    Engrish
    Penny Arcade
    SAB
    CNN
    Fox News
    Tongue Tied
    Gamespot

Let me know when we can post the adult sites – I need to organize my links into a manageable list.

Something Awful (although not so much lately)
    ESPN
    Homestarrunner
    Addictinggames
    Slashdot
    Thottbot (while I play WoW)

  4. SlickDeals was really big around the fishbowl for a while. Be careful though b/c it can get addictive & can really drain your man purse.

  5. This is mostly for the ladies of the site but I regularly check out the BlueFly.com site. They usually have great deals on designer purses, etc.

  6. Try this one. Props to NG for finding it…

  7. I guess this thread is sort of a link dump….

This is kind of an interesting idea: Homeless Camera Adventure

  8. Stinky showed me this a few weeks ago and I’ve been checking it every day since then. Love it. Garfield Minus Garfield

Some other ones I check frequently nowadays:

    A Softer World
    xkcd
And yes, I’ll admit, Facebook and MySpace

  9. There are good things going on in Lancaster, thanks to EBZANE

  10. Wow. Did anyone actually read his posts? I had to read some when I saw something about him rubbing bleach into his eyes. This guy is the “geek” stereotype, and I’ve always had a soft spot for those guys.

  11. Ok, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve been to Lancaster, but I can’t figure out if this EBZANE guy is for real, or if he’s paying homage to the Onion. If he’s real, well, bless his heart. If it’s a parody, then it’s nice and subtly funny!

In addition, I just found a fun typing game: TypeRacer

  12. Yeah, I’m guessing it’s fake, but it’s good reading.

  13. Columbus (along with Cincinnati and Dayton) was added to Google Street View yesterday. I’d messed around with Street View in the past, looking at famous cities, but it really strikes you as amazing when you can see your own neighborhood.

I’m not sure when exactly the images were shot, but if you look at my old address on Cranston Dr you can see my Jeep sitting out front. It’s also clearly summer, which i guess would mean they were taken sometime last year?

Anyway, you area folk have fun playing around.

  14. I am not sure how to type in an exact address, but did you click on “Traffic”? You can click on “live traffic” for Columbus and it shows you the average mph for each freeway right now….too cool.

  15. Looks like most of the towns between Columbus and Dayton got put in as well. Tiny ole Springfield is in there, and I’d agree with your timeframe guess Bill. My parents house shows their old Volkswagen out front, for sale. That was last summer. I also saw streets for Huber Heights, which is even smaller and just outside of Dayton.

They didn’t get my house, though. We apparently are just beyond the range of their interest. I’m pretty cool with that.

  16. http://www.etsy.com
This website was featured on CBS Sunday Morning today… it has some pretty cool things on it. It’s run by this 28 year old guy who attends world trade conventions in a sweatshirt and jeans (which you kind of have to respect) The basic concept is an online marketplace for homemade goods.

Even more interesting though, are the quirky little items you can come across- like this little featured gem:

And then with May just around the corner:

    For Star Wars buffs:
    http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat1_gallery_13&listing_id=22941856
And who wouldn’t want a nice set of…:
    http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?ref=cat2_gallery_15&listing_id=22183155

Ok, I’m done. This ended up being a pretty fun site…
